I wasn't sure if we were supposed to blog today, so I'm doing it just in case. Today we watched everyone's presentations.. which were all very good. Then we reviewed for the final exam. Watching everyone present was really fun. The review was kind of stressful though, but I think I have a pretty good handle on things. I just need to brush up on old grammar and kanji and I'm sure that I will be fine for the exam!

Apologies for this blog being posted half an hour late. Today we learned how to show intention by using ～つもりです and show the state of becoming by using an adjective + なる。We also learned 6 new kanji : 雪、立、自、夜、朝、持。
The most interesting part of today was once again, working from the workbook.
The most difficult part of today was actually when I came home to do the extra credit.. my drawing took forever to make for some reason. It might have been the coloring that was the most time consuming part. I don't think I will have to overcome this ever again, so everything is good.

Today, we learned that nouns can be replaced with の when referring to that noun again. We also learned 4 more kanji from Chapter 10: 買、町、長、道。
The best part of today was reading the かさじぞう story. That was one of my favorite stories when I was a kid . It was also great reading practice- I was studying kanji yesterday and I thought I knew most of the material, but I found out that I did not.
That was probably the hardest part of today as well. I made flashcards for kanji last night, so I'll keep practicing!

今日、月曜日だったから、あたらしいたんごをならった：あき、いしゃ、えき、お金もち、かお、きせつ、クレジットカード、今年、サッカー、シャツ、せいかつ、せかい、ちかてつ、てぶくろ、とこや、はる、パンツ、びよういん、びん、ふね、やきゅう、ゆうめいぎん、よやく、来学期、りんご、あたたかい、おそい、すずしい、つめたい、ねむい、かんたん。
あたらしい文法もならった。

あたらしいかんじは：住、正、年、売。
今日のならったものの中で文法が一番おもしろかった。
今日の一番むずかしかったれんしゅうはぜんぶだった。日本語の単語と文法、とかんじはみんあたまの中でめちゃくちゃです。でも、いつもべんきょうするの時なっちゃう、私はあとで、あとでと言うから、ほんとうに私のせえです。

先週、金曜日にたくさんレビユをしました。きゅうかしょうからべんきょうしました。そのあとで先生はさくぶんをみました。その日はいそがしくなかた。
一番たんおしいれんしゅうはレビユだった。
一番むずかしかったれんしゅうもレビユだった。日本語のしけんの前に、たくさんべんきょうをします！

このクラスはおもしろかった。～から　の文法をわたくたちにおしえた。きょうかしょうからたくさんをよんだ。あたらしい漢字わ：古、知、来。
たんごのリビユーときょうかしょうからよみのがすきいだった。
今日、きょうかしょうの仕事はむずかしかったーでも、すきいだった。プロジェクトをしごとするのときもむずかしかった。たくさん文法をならったから、どっちつかうのはたいへんたった。私は日本語をかくのがすきい、だからだいじょうぶたった。

Today, our class took our vocabulary quiz for Chapter 9, and learned more Japanese. We learned how to use もう＿＿＿、と　まだ＿＿＿　〜ていません。漢字：間、家、話、少。
The most fun activity today was working in the book again, and the flashcards at the beginning of class helped a lot too.
My least favorite activity was having to answer questions, I guess. It's really hard to speak on a whim- I feel like its requires a lot of thinking.
I think this weekend I will practice speaking with my mom in Japanese and force myself to really learn. After a while, we give up and start speaking in English. :]

今日は８月２日の火曜日です。In class today, we learned how to modify a noun by using phrases. There are 4 basic categories to these relative clauses:
1. Personality     (ex. おもしろい人）
2. Characteristics     (ex.せが高い人）
3. Additional Characteristics　（ex.めがねをかけている人）
4. Likes/ Dislikes; Good at/ Bad at, etc.　（ex.いぬが好きな人）

We also learned 4 kanji from chapter 9: 　白、雨、書、友。

It was nice to practice on the new ぶんぽう that we just learned. I feel like we really got to practice and I feel confident that I have the whole concept down. It was kind of difficult to remember how to conjugate all the verbs though. We kept practicing and making new sentences, so after a while everything started to make sense.

The most fun activity today was making up sentences from the textbook. I felt like I grasped the concept of our new vocab better.
The worst part of today was the kanji quiz- which I unfortunately didn't get to study for as much I would have liked to. Saturday and Sunday I slept a lot for some reason and got nothing accomplished. I think I just need to get back on my normal schedule- that road trip really messed up my circadian rhythm. haha
